"On The Cape"

Subsequent to her first trip to Cape Cod, Beverly Klucher returned to her studio in Pennsylvania and painted an oil reflecting her perception of this "jewel of a place"as she describes the elbow at the edge of the Atlantic. The oil painting received such recognition that Beverly realized the potential in this subject.

Thus, to date she has produced numerous oil paintings of Cape Cod which have become so popular that they live in her studio a very short time. With this in mind Beverly realized the importance of an edition of prints of the first major oil painting she had done of Cape Cod before she would allow it to be sold.

The painting represents an actual event. Two people set sail in their Cat Boat on a choppy Cotuit Bay against a backdrop of darkening clouds, suggesting an approaching storm. The vertical amber light caught upon the sail seems to steer the viewer toward the distant shore creating a sense of calm. A rhetorical question one may ask,"Surely they will make it?" Today the Limited Edition Print entitled "ON THE CAPE" is such a print.

While Beverly's work includes both land and seascapes, her love of her "home away from home" continues to grow and so does the number of paintings.
